When you first visit the Activity Feed, you’ll receive a one-time prompt from Surf asking if you’d like to enable push notifications.

• If you select Enable, you’ll then be asked to grant permission at the system level through your device’s notification settings.

• If you select Not now, you won’t be prompted again, but you can enable notifications anytime through Surf’s in-app Settings.

If you decline push notification permissions at the system level on your device, you won’t receive any push notifications from Surf — including updates when others interact with your feeds, mention you, and more. To start receiving them again, you’ll need to re-enable notifications in your device’s system settings.

If you opt to enable push notifications, you can always manage your preferences later by going to Settings within the Surf app.

You can always view your activity notifications in Surf by tapping the bell icon.
