When you first visit the Activity Feed, you’ll receive a one-time prompt from Surf asking if you’d like to enable push notifications.

• If you select “Enable”, you’ll then be asked to grant permission at the system level through your device’s notification settings.

• If you select “Not now”, you won’t be prompted again, but you can enable notifications anytime through Surf’s in-app Settings.

If you decline push notification permissions at the system level, you won’t receive any notifications from Surf—including updates when others interact with your feeds, mention you, and more. To start receiving them again, you’ll need to re-enable notifications in your device’s system settings.

No need to worry if you enable notifications, you can always manage your preferences later by going to Settings within the Surf app.
