Having trouble installing the Surf beta on your iPhone or iPad? No worries! A few users have run into snags, so we’ve put together this guide to help you out.
Quick reminder: Since Surf is in closed beta and an invite code is required to join. The steps below are for people who have signed up for the Surf waitlist and were sent an invite code via email.
Issue: “I haven’t received my invite code.”
Search for an email with the subject: "Your Surf INVITE CODE is here!"
Inside the email, you’ll find your unique invite code in this format: Enter this INVITE CODE: [Your Code]
Enter this invite code on the Welcome screen in the Surf app to join the beta.

Issue: “I selected ‘Add Surf to Testflight’ from the email and was asked for a redeem code.”
This is a rare TestFlight glitch, but we’ve seen it happen a few times.
First, try this:
1. Close the TestFlight app completely.
2. Go back to your email and tap the “Add Surf to Testflight” button again.
In most cases, it works the second time. If you’re still having trouble, contact us at support@surf.social, and we’ll resolve the issue.
