Navigation Bar

The navigation bar is the row of icons at the bottom of the app.

Home tab

You can view your home feed ("For You") and any added feeds by swiping left or right in your home bar (at the top). Tap on a story to see the full view or swipe up to see more content in the feed. When you're done tap X in the bottom bar or swipe right to return home. Tap ⋮ in the upper right to edit your home bar.
  • For You: This is your home feed and includes content from everything you follow.

Following tab

  • All: All of the accounts, Magazines, topics, or social feeds you follow will appear here.
  • Profiles: Flipboard accounts you follow will appear here.
  • Accounts: Connect and view your social accounts and subscription services here.

Explore tab

There are many ways to discover content on Flipboard. Use Explore to find topics, Magazines, profiles, and social feeds. Enter a search term in the search bar to find related content to follow.

Profile tab

You can view your profile information like full name, username, bio, and profile photo. Tap on Followers to view the accounts that follow you. In addition, you can tap on the individual tabs below your profile information to view the things that matter to you. At the top of your profile tab are ways to manage your Settings and Find People to Follow.
  • Flipped: All the stories you have ever added to Magazines.
  • Likes: All stories you have liked.
  • Magazines: All of your Magazines for collecting articles, groups Magazines, and smart Magazines.
  • Notifications: You can stay up to date with what's happening in the world and your account by tapping on this tab. Scroll through your recent notifications or hit Shared With You to see stories shared with you by your friends. Tap the notifications settings at the top right to manage your push notification preferences.

  • Passion Picker: Keep swiping left in your top home bar to get to your Passion Picker—“What's your Passion?” From here you can add and personalize smart Magazines.

Notifications tab

You can stay up to date with what's happening in the world and your account by tapping on this tab. Scroll through your recent notifications or hit Shared With You to see stories shared with you by your friends. Tap the slider at the top right to manage your push notification preferences.

Profile tab

You can view your profile information like full name, username, bio, and profile photo. Tap on Followers to view the accounts that follow you. In addition, you can tap on the individual tabs below your profile information to view the things that matter to you. At the top of your profile tab are ways to manage your Settings and Find People to Follow.

Home bar

Your home bar houses your home feed and up to ten additional feeds.
  • For You: This is your home feed and includes content from everything you follow as well as any added smart Magazines and social connections.
  • Passion Picker: Click "What’s your passion?" to view your Passion Picker. You can use the Passion Picker to add and personalize smart Magazines.
To the right of the home bar you'll find a few more navigational options.

Search

There are many ways to discover content on Flipboard. Use Explore to find topics, Magazines, profiles, and social feeds. Enter a search term in the search bar to find related content to follow.

Compose

Add captions or links to your Magazines.

Following

  • All: All of the accounts, Magazines, topics, or social feeds you follow will appear here.
  • Profiles: Flipboard accounts you follow will appear here.
  • Accounts: Connect and view your social accounts and subscription services here.

Profile

In this menu, you can access your account profile, your analytics, and your settings. Inside your profile you'll find:
  • Flips: All the stories you have ever added to Magazines.
  • Likes: All the stories you have liked.
  • Magazines: All of your Magazines for collecting articles, groups Magazines, and smart Magazines.
