In order to add an RSS feed to your profile, you must have a publisher account. If you don’t already have a Flipboard account, go here to create one. If you already have a Flipboard account, but it is not a publisher account, log in to your account on the web and go to the settings drop-down to upgrade.

Once you have a Flipboard publisher account, you’ll be able to submit an RSS feed on your profile page. Before submitting your RSS feeds for approval, please ensure that you’ve followed our RSS Guidelines.

Publishers must own and operate the RSS feeds they pipe to Magazines. To qualify as a publisher on Flipboard, individuals or organizations need to create original content, regularly publish, provide bylines, have contact information that is tied to the account and demonstrate a verifiable presence on other social or internet properties.

The best way to add RSS content is to make a Flipboard Magazine for each topic your publication covers. This will help organize your profile, making it easier for your readers to follow the channels they are most interested in. If all RSS feeds are added to one Magazine, it can make the Magazine seem unfocused. Keep in mind the Magazine containing your RSS feed is kept private while we review your submission. Once your application is approved, you can set your Magazine to public.

You will need to submit your RSS feed to have it reviewed by the Flipboard team. Unfortunately, you aren’t able to check if it works before submitting it.

You also can update the RSS feed for a pending publisher application by following the steps below:

  1. Log into Flipboard.com, then go to your profile.
  2. Click the pencil icon in the lower right corner of the RSS Magazine cover.
  3. Scroll down to the Magazine populated by the RSS feed. Click Edit Feed.
  4. Remove the current feed by clicking X next to it.
  5. Add the new feed.

You have complete control over the articles you share in your profile and Magazines on Flipboard – whether it’s through the RSS feed you provide us or when you are manually curating Magazines.
