When you first visit the Activity Feed, you'll receive a one-time prompt from Surf asking if you'd like to enable push notifications.

  • If you select Enable, your device may then display a system-level permission dialog asking you to confirm. Tap Allow to start receiving notifications.

  • If you select Not now, you won't be prompted again within the app, but you can enable notifications anytime through Surf's in-app Settings.

If you decline push notification permissions at the system level, you won't receive any push notifications from Surf, including updates when others interact with your feeds, mention you, and more. To start receiving them, you'll need to enable notifications for Surf in your device's system settings.

If push notifications are enabled, you can manage your preferences anytime by going to Settings within the Surf app.

You can always view your activity notifications in Surf by tapping the bell icon.
