Having a federated account means that people on social platforms like Mastodon and — soon — Threads can follow and interact with your profile and posts you share into public Flipboard Magazines.

And on the Flipboard app, people with federated accounts can seamlessly interact — follow, like and comment — with accounts from other social platforms in the fediverse.

All activity from the fediverse can be seen in your notifications panel in the iOS or Android app.

Note: Flipboard is currently testing federation with a limited set of accounts. If you have a Flipboard account and would like to test this new functionality, request to federate here.
