If your account was selected to participate in the federation test, visit your Settings to opt “in” or “out” of federation.
On iOS Phones:
Go to your Profile tab (bottom right corner)
Select the gear icon to enter Flipboard Settings
Select Edit Profile
Toggle on or off federation (green is “on”)
On iOS iPad:
Tap the red ribbon
Select the gear icon to enter Flipboard Settings
Select Edit Profile
Toggle on or off federation (green is “on”)
On Android Phone:
Go to your Profile tab (bottom right corner)
Select the gear icon to enter Flipboard Settings
Select Flipboard Account
Toggle on or off federation (blue is “on”)
On Web:
Select your Profile (top right corner)
Select Settings
Select Federation Settings
Check or uncheck box for federation (check present is “on”)
If you turn the federation feature “off,” your content will no longer be syndicated to the fediverse, and we send a notice of deletion to servers who federate with us.
If you change your mind and turn your federation feature back “on,” please note that we do not backfill content from when you were unfederated — sharing only happens while the feature is “on."
